The day I gave in and wore a skin suit by heath on Dec 03, 2009
As I stood at the start line, I realized I’ve never felt this ah-hum “exposed” in a crowd of dudes as I await the race official starting gun. Bang, as we all disperse up the hill I settle in to my comfortable and typical “middle of the pack”. I swear spectators can see my heart pounding through the 0.2mm of spandex that wraps half my body. I realize this race attire that I have resisted for years (and some how got talked into wearing) feels like a big warm hug… and I feel like an aerodynamic rocket. The wind slips off my shoulders like water off a dolphin nose and I pass around 20 people to finish in the top ten, and feel like a superhero in my crime-fighting like suit. This is the day I wore a skin suit.
