2018 Bicycle Friendly Universities Announcement

The League of American Bicyclist (LAB) has announced their new and renewing Bicycle Friendly Universities (BFU) for 2018. This year’s awards bring the total of colleges and universities that have bicycle friendly designations to 193 institutions nationwide.

The program was launched in 2011 to help higher education institutions provide more sustainable and livable transportation on campus. Now 7 years later there are more than 3.8 million students the enjoy the benefits of sustainable mobility on campuses across the nation.

The BFU program has institutions that range from 399 to more than 68,000 students. No matter the size of the institution, this program is a great way to improve any campus nationwide.
