Posted on Jun 17th 2020 | advocacy, news,

The League of American Bicyclist (LAB) recently released their Spring 2020 Bicycle Friendly Community Awards (BFC). In total 38 communities either joined for the first time, renewed, or improved their bicycle friendly status. The importance of having our communities work on providing bicycle friendly infrastructure and providing transportation options for all users has been more evident than in 2020.

In all, 482 communities across the county are part of the BFC program. To find out more on the 2020 awards and LAB’s Bicycle Friendly America program see their blog post here.

If you know a business, university or community that would have interest in participating in the Bicycle Friendly America program, the process and applications can be found here and the next deadlines are as follows:

Bicycle Friendly Business: July 15, 2020

Bicycle Friendly University: October 20, 2020
