Planet Bike Awards Grants and Product Support to 11 Advocacy Groups Across the U.S.

Posted on May 18th 2026 |

Planet Bike has awarded $26,000 in grants and product support to eleven non-profit organizations working to make bicycling safer, more accessible, and more deeply woven into daily life across the U.S. These groups are expanding cycling access, championing better infrastructure, and advancing education and policy efforts to help build a more bicycle-friendly America.

This year, we're especially excited to welcome three new partners to our advocacy grant program - West Town Bikes, Free Cycles and Wheels for Winners. Each operates as a community-based bike shop powered by dedicated volunteers who provide hands-on education and empower people of all ages to have access to affordable sustainable transportation.

As a proud member of 1% for the Planet® (an alliance of businesses that are financially committed to creating a healthy planet), Planet Bike donates time, resources and 1% of annual sales to organizations working toward a healthier planet. This commitment reflects our belief that the bicycle provides powerful solutions for creating vibrant communities and a more sustainable future.

To date, Planet Bike has contributed more than $2.7 million to help grow strong cycling organizations and equitable transportation networks across the country.
