Planet Bike offered swag and moral support to Ride for Reading’s Interbike Book Delivery. Here’s what they had to say about the event:

Although some details came down to the wire, our book delivery via bicycle during Interbike 2011 was rockin’! First, we want to thank Pivot Cycles / BH Cycles for making this delivery! Without their demo fleet of bicycles we would not have been able to accommodate all of the riders who wanted to join the ride. Tribella Racing teamed up with Primal Wear to ship over 1,000 books for the delivery as well! Pre Race.com was on hand at the show to assist volunteers with on-site sign-up.

We knew this delivery was going to rock when cyclists starting arriving in large groups! We were shocked to count over 80 riders ready to help. Each rider received a custom pair of Swiftwick Ride for Reading socks, a t-shirt, and a ticket to win a ton of schwag. As we began to load up over 2,000 books in back packs, trailers, and panniers the giving spirit was in the air. We had local officials, cyclists, and supporters as well as 6 professional cyclists. We even had 6 local motorcycle police officers who escorted us to Peterson Elementary School….Read the rest here.
