Posted on Jul 19th 2022 | NEWS, PRODUCT,

Planet Bike has introduced two new breathable, summer weight full finger cycling gloves just in time for those long summer rides. Additionally, technical refinements have been made to improve the performance of the cool weather Aquilo half-lobster and the winter weight Borealis gloves. These gloves will meet the challenge of any bicycle adventure whether its spring, summer, fall or winter.

Topo Trail Cycling Gloves

The Topo Trail full finger bicycling glove is a minimalistic and lightweight cycling glove built for all-day mountain bike, gravel and road rides. Breathable 4-way stretch mesh fabric covers the back of the hand to provide a close, articulated and comfortable fit that keeps your hands cool on hot days. The slim and durable Amara synthetic leather palm has a re-enforced inner thumb to keep you in close contact with your bars for great feedback and control.

Touch screen pads on the thumb, middle and index fingers let you use your smartphone without removing your gloves. The topographic stylized motif and slip-on design make for a glove that looks sharp, feels light on the hand and provides the dexterity of a second skin on any bicycling adventure.

The back of the hand is covered with close-fitting perforated 4-way stretch mesh fabric to provide great breathability to keep your hands sweat free and cool. The slim and durable synthetic palm is perforated for additional ventilation and the re-enforced inner thumb keep you in close contact with your bars for great feedback and control.

Touch-screen compatible pads on the thumb, middle and index fingers let you access your smartphone without de-gloving. The clean style and closure-less slip-on design make these the ideal glove for all your epic summer adventures whether you’re tackling the Monarch Crest trail or bicycling on your local terrain.

Aquilo Half-Lobster Cool Weather Cycling Gloves

Bicycling in cooler weather is a joy and that’s why Planet Bike continues to refine the Aquilo cycling gloves. 4-way stretch windproof fabric covers the back of the hand to provide a close and comfortable fit that takes the bite out of the wind on blustery rides. The interior is lined with a warm and comfortable brushed fleece lining. The synthetic leather palm provides great handlebar feel and has reinforced zones for durability and a 2mm gel pad at the base of the palm for comfort.

Touch-screen compatible pads on the thumb, middle and index fingers let you access your smartphone. The extended cuff covers the wrist and the adjustable hook and loop closure let you personalize the fit and seal out the cold. Other features include a nose wipe on the thumb and index finger and reflective piping on the back of the hand. Give them a try and you’ll find that they’re lightweight, slim-fitting and surprisingly warm. They’re a perfect choice for your spring and fall rides.

Borealis Half-Lobster Cold Weather Cycling Gloves

We believe that bicycling fun shouldn’t go into hibernation when the mercury drops. The improved Borealis cycling gloves are designed to meet the specific needs of cold weather riding. The half-lobster construction has an extra warm and comfortable fleece lining, covered by a wind and water-resistant outer shell that protects your hands from the punishing wind, cold, and snow. The waterproof synthetic serino palm has reinforced zones for durability and a tacky grip that creates a positive point of contact with your bars and when shifting and braking.

Touch-screen compatible pads on the thumb and index finger let you access your smartphone without de-gloving. The full neoprene cuff and adjustable hook and loop closure allow for a personalized fit to seal out the cold. Additionally, a nose wipe on the thumb, reflective piping on the back of the hand and wintry good looks create a super warm cycling glove that’s not bulky. We think you’ll appreciate all the technical specs of this robust glove as you pedal through frosty winter weather.

The Borealis gloves retail for $39.99.
